The list price of this printer is rather high but expect to see very significant discounts making it better value for money. Its build quality is good as is its text output. Although some reviews have criticized the graphics quality this does not seem to be an issue for users. Both text and graphics print very fast and the “Instant on“ technology provides a very fast start whilst actually saving energy.

The control panel features “Show Me How” gives guidance on printer configuration and troubleshooting including mundane tasks like loading paper trays and clearing paper jams. The controls are use-friendly and setup is usually straightforward.

You can add various option extras including 4 additional paper trays providing a maximum capacity of 3600 sheets.I have see comments stating that there is a higher capacity toner cartridge available for the HP Laserjet P4014n. That is not the case but the standard 10k toner cartridge is reasonably economical. A full list of the paper handling and connectivity options which you can add to make the printer meet your specific needs are detailed in the HP documentation.

Note that there is a version of this printer the HP LaserJet P4014dn which includes the auto duplexer which is otherwise optional extra. However you may find it cheaper to purchase the standard printer and the duplexer separately.
